Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.

I was born and raised in Victoria, British Columbia. I spent a lot of my childhood with my grandparents in which they taught me to speak and write Cantonese while my parents were working.

List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.

I think that an interesting job is one that I currently have as a laboratory instructor because I had little to no experience in teaching, so my very first class of students was very intimidating! However, as I progressed and developed skills to help me deliver classes in an effective way and without fear, I enjoy teaching and discovered that people will listen to you if you have something to offer. In this case, students want to listen because I am teaching them valuable knowledge and skills that will help them do well in the course

List any volunteering you have done.

BC Cancer Society, SOS Children’s Villages, Operation Smile

What is your most unusual talent?

I used to be a server, so I could use those large trays that can hold up to 6 plates of food. Being able to carry the load of food dishes across a restaurant impressed a lot of customers!

Where is the most interesting place you have been to?

The most interesting place I would say would be Hawaii, it is absolutely gorgeous there

What do you hope to be doing in ten years?

Be established in my career in health promotion, completed the necessary courses for being a fitness instructor and teach fitness classes, and to have travelled to many places in South America and Asia.
