Hometown: Edmonton, AB
I am a black and white person, I truly feel that giving back to others, respecting the environment, and equal rights for everyone are key ingredients to a successful society. I hope people feel my compassion and have a warmed heart when I express my opinion because it is 100% pure and honest. It is unfortunate that the “rich” and “beautiful” are the ones idolized in our society today; because that to me is not what life is about. I strive to be a role model for the youth that parents encourage, not take away. Being a role model for young girls struggling with self-esteem issues is a goal I have as well as speaking to youth about anti bullying will be something I get involved with, crown on my head or not. This is the perfect opportunity to raise my voice and be heard, and I can hardly wait.
I may not have a PHD but I have excelled and pursued my passions in life; I have respected and appreciated the different gifts from god I was given. This is why I feel I am successful already in my life, even if I don’t win this pageant my hope and prayer would be that 1 young girl/boy struggling with image or social issues will be lifted by my encouragement and know she/he is not alone. I believe that everyone is beautiful in their own way and society’s standards do not delegate this enough to our vulnerable youth.
