Tonight marks the 65th anniversary of SOS Children’s Villages. As one of the chosen charities of the Miss Universe Canada Organization, we celebrate their hard work which helps orphaned and abandoned children worldwide. I had the pleasure of speaking with Mike Holmes (who is a key ambassador of SOS) discussing our involvement with this outstanding charity. This year, the contestants of Miss Universe Canada 2014 collectively raised $132,000 in support of SOS Children’s Villages. As your titleholder, I had the opportunity to travel to Nicaragua for 2 weeks on a humanitarian trip to work with SOS.
