Ashley Callingbull is an accomplished actress, model, TV host, and a dedicated First Nations activist from the Enoch Cree Nation. She has starred in shows such as Blackstone, Tribal, and her movie The Great Salish Heist, and was a contestant on The Amazing Race Canada. As an international motivational speaker, Ashley has delivered keynote addresses at Harvard University, TED Talks, and WE Day.
Her dedication and impact have earned her numerous accolades, including the Top 20 Under 30 Award and being named one of Canada’s Top 10 Power Women. Ashley received the Youth First Nations Award from Indspire, recognizing her outstanding achievements across Turtle Island. She was also inducted into the Circle of Honour at the Esquao Awards for her leadership and activism.
In recognition of her community service, Ashley received the Role Model Award from the United Nations on Global Dignity Day. On the 70th Anniversary of Her Late Majesty, she was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for her dedication to public service.
This past year, Ashley made history as the first Indigenous First Nations woman to become a Sports Illustrated model and will be featured on the cover of Fashion Magazine’s September 2024 issue. She currently serves as an In-Game Sports Host for the Canadian Football League, the National Lacrosse League, and the National Hockey League. Additionally, she recently signed a book deal with Harper Collins and will become a published author in Fall 2024.
Ashley now becomes the 1st Indigenous Cree woman to hold the title of Miss Universe Canada & will be the 1st Indigenous First Nations woman from North America to compete at Miss Universe.
She is also the first over the age of 28 to hold this prestigious title.
