Prabhjot is a firm believer that life is a gift which is meant to be savoured, whether its indulging her taste buds in her favourite food group, dessert, exploring trends in fashion while shopping on a Sunday afternoon with friends, or travelling the world.
This savvy and sophisticated 24 year old has many interests including keeping up with the latest trends in the automotive industry as she is a keen car enthusiast. She believes every moment, every experience is precious and in order for it to be as fulfilling as possible it is important to make the most out of every day.
Education has always been of high importance to Prabhjot and as a result of her hard work and determination she was bestowed the honour of being awarded the prestigious Governor General’s Academic medal.
Growing up Prabhjot’s parents were strong mentors and entrepreneurial influences and through their support and encouragement Prabhjot and her siblings went on to cofound a successful business, Craving Asian Foods, which encompasses their cultural roots. Prabhjot strives to translate her current and future business accomplishments into an opportunity to help those less fortunate.
She dreams of one day becoming a philanthropist, with a primary focus on educating children in 3rd world countries. Prabhjot looks upon an education as a virtue that manifests itself throughout each aspect of life and as an asset that will always remain with an individual regardless of their circumstances.
Prabhjot is a level-headed, yet impassioned young woman who is thrilled at the opportunity to represent her country as Miss Universe Canada.

Being from an Indo-Canadian background that spans back over a century of roots in Canada, I grew up speaking fluent Punjabi, English and Hindi. I am fascinated by different cultures and I hope to learn as many languages as possible in life. During my University career I also took elective courses in German and French.
What would be your “dream job” in life?
I have always wanted to give back to the community, having a background in pharmaceuticals as well as business. My dream job would be to establish a business which would allow me to combine both my entrepreneurial spirit as well as my love for health care.
List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.
The most interesting job I have had was co-founding Craving Asian Foods with my siblings. I contributed to all aspects of starting up a business in the food industry, everything from food photography and nutritional analysis to marketing and promotions. It was a job that allowed me to grow as an individual as I had to draw upon my current skills and also acquire expertise in a number of areas that I previously did not have substantial experience with.
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
Although I have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel to various destinations around the world, I would have to say the most interesting place I have been to is actually here in Canada. We have an absolutely gorgeous country and I had the chance to explore many parts of it during family road trips as a child. The peaceful essence and serene beauty of Bijoux Falls, just outside of my hometown, contributes to making it the most interesting and unique place I have visited.
What is your philosophy of/in life?
I strongly believe that the purpose of life is a life of purpose. I think it’s important to have widespread ambitions and to strive to achieve as much as possible in one’s life. We are here to explore all walks of life, to make countless new relations and to experience the world in the way it was meant to be experienced, fully.
