“MISS UNIVERSE CANADA®2021” IS TAMARA JEMUOVIC FROM TORONTO, ONTARIO”
Tamara Jemuovic will represent Canada at the 70th Miss Universe in Eilat, Israel in December.
TORONTO, ON (August 6, 2021) – Tamara Jemuovic of Toronto, Ontario, the first runner-up of the Miss Universe Canada 2020 pageant has been appointed Miss Universe Canada 2021 and will represent our country in Miss Universe 2021.
Tamara is a published international model for L’Oréal, Schwarzkopf, Rogers Communications and more. She encompasses both beauty and intelligence. She has a degree from UofT, a graduate degree from University of Hawaii and is a Licensed Real Estate Broker. She has travelled to over 30 countries and is multilingual. She speaks six languages (English, French, Spanish, Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian). Tamara is a true Entrepreneur and is the CEO & Founder of PHNX Cosmetics. Tamara will rise to inspire more women aiming to achieve their own independence in their respective entrepreneurial and personal journeys.
The Miss Universe Organization, the Israeli Ministry of Tourism and the city of Eilat announced that the 70th MISS UNIVERSE® competition will air live from Eilat, Israel in December 2021. The 70th MISS UNIVERSE Competition will once again be hosted by legendary entertainer Steve Harvey on FOX.
The three-hour event will feature women representing countries and territories across the globe competing in multiple categories, including personal statement, swimsuit, evening gown and interview, ending with Mexico’s Andrea Meza crowning her successor.
Tamara was crowned at LAVELLE in downtown Toronto by Denis Davila (National Director of Miss Universe Canada), Miss Universe Canada Titleholders Alyssa Boston (MUC 2019), Paola Nunez Valdez (MUC 2015), Samantha Tajik (MUC 2008). Nova Stevens, MUC 2020 is out of the country and although she was not available to attend the crowning, she sent Tamara a congratulatory video message.
“Congratulations Queen. You are deserving of this title and so much more. I know you will do amazing at Miss Universe this December in Israel. Enjoy the process, enjoy your reign as Miss Universe Canada because you deserve every goodness that is coming your way and I’m so proud of you,” said Nova Stevens, Miss Universe Canada 2020. Stevens, a Canadian professional model and activist for Black Lives Matter from Vancouver, British Columbia, has advocated for women’s equality during her reign and she competed for the title of Miss Universe last May in Miami, Florida, USA.
The next Miss Universe Canada competition will take place in the Spring of 2022 and the winner will represent Canada at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant.
