Sara was born and raised in beautiful multicultural Toronto, Ontario. She attended York University as an undergradaute student studying the Honours Bachelor program of Criminology. A very bright ,caring, talented and intelligent student Sara has been heavily involved with giving back to her community. Currently, Sara is pursing a Bachelor of education in program at York University as she has a great passion for teaching. Sara has invested a great amount of time with supporting great causes such as the Heart and Stroke foundation during her elementary school days and is currently volunteering at Beryl Ford Public School helping to assist teaching pre-school children with developing reading and writing skills. She has also assisted with tutoring high school students in a program entitled “The Advanced Credit Experience” (ACE) program. Sara has also taken great interest in spiritual affairs and therefore has volunteered to help the elderly at a religious institution.

Sara has many interesting and intriguing hobbies which involve sports and recreation. She loves to express her artistic ability in different forms which include dance. A great amount of time and effort is put forth into developing a strong fitness regime and a healthy lifestyle. She enjoys all types of sports such as swimming, soccer and badminton all in which help her to develop great stamina. She is a very confident, responsible and a goal-orientated young woman who empowers great physical and mental strength. She has the ability and skill to achieve any goal that she has set her mind to reach. Sara loves a competitive environment where she can put forth her best effort possible in every way.

A very positive role model in her community, Sara’s greatest ambition is to become a part of the entertainment industry where her artistic expression can be recognized to the entire world. Winning the Miss Universe Canada crown has been a life-long dream and Sara hopes to utilize this opportunity to help the less fortunate with all sorts of issues in a positive way. She hopes to raise awareness about different charities to the world and empower women to help make small changes in the world that can make a big difference.

Sara loves to travel and learn about different cultures all around the world. She loves to meet new people and believes that every experience allows you to learn something new. She admires her family who has taught her values that have shaped the woman she is today. Sara hopes to spread her knowledge about injustice that she feels is happening in the world today and hopes to one day obtain a law degree which will help to protect our society. She hopes to become an aspiring role model by competing in the Miss Universe competition to help inspire young women to follow their dreams.

What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?

I am very interested in sports and recreation. I have an immense interest in the modeling and entertainment industry. I love to sing, dance, act and anything that involves expressing my artistic talents. I love to spend quality time with my family and friends. I enjoy teaching pre-school children skills required to become successful in the future. I love watching movies and I have a passion for travelling the world. I am very keen on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and I would love for others to follow a fitness regime. I love becoming involved with charity work and helping the vulnerable, sick and elderly people.

I have been involved in many sports such track and field, soccer, volleyball, swimming and badminton.

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?

My aunt has been a major influence on my life. She has always supported with my dreams and hopes ever since I was a little child. My aunt has immense strength and charisma in which I have learned immensely from. She has taught me how to become brave, independent and a strong role model for many people. She has taught me how to overcome obstacles and barriers as well as following my dreams no matter what. She is a beautiful woman who possess all the qualities a strong woman empowers. My aunt is someone I can count on in the worst times possible and she is someone I have always looked up to.

What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than participating in this pageant)?

My academic achievement is my proudest personal accomplishment. I have worked very hard during my undergraduate degree at York University in criminology. I believe that studies have a major impact on our lives and shapes our identity. I have developed strong learning skills during my undergraduate degree which I believe will help with the Miss Universe Canada competition. This includes strong reading, writing and public speaking skills. These skills will all help me with my amazing experience with the pageant.

What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?

I love to make people laugh by entertaining them by performing to various songs. I believe that the most interesting thing about me is that I love to sing and dance but it is a talent that I don’t portray to the most people. I believe that my artistic ability is a hidden talent that I would now like the world to see.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?

I would love to become a part of the entertainment industry. I have dreamt of becoming a very famous, successful actress and model . I have taken part of the Miss Universe Canada pageant as a platform to accomplish my dream goal. I dream of becoming Miss Universe Canada and then successfully Miss Universe. I also have dreamt of pursuing a legal education and becoming a successful lawyer. I love to promote, justice and equality for all. I would also to love to open my own business one become a very powerful, and successful entrepreneur.

What would be your “dream job” in life?

My dream job is to become Miss Universe Canada 2016. I want to become a very strong role model for other women all around the world. I believe that women can accomplish anything that their hearts desire. Becoming involved with various charities and promoting good causes that can help make a difference in other people’s lives has always been my dream. I believe that Miss Universe Canada will allow me to fulfill my dream of become a successful, independent and a proud Canadian.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.

I was born in North York, Toronto. My childhood was very amazing as I loved to go to school and made many friends. I loved to socialize with other people and I enjoyed my childhood immensely. I loved to do what all children would love to do such as playing with toys, eating chocolate and Canada as well as going to park. I loved to go bicycle riding and I enjoyed my studies very much. I loved to dance and sing to songs that my mother would play while watching hindi movies. I loved to spend time with my aunts and uncle. I remember always playing with my younger brother and my cousin as we all grew up together. I would say that my childhood was a very important and happy time of my life as there was very little to worry about.

List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.

During my high school I had to raise funds for charities such as Heart and Stroke. I have been involved with marathons and contributed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation by raising awareness for this amazing cause.

List any volunteering you have done.

I have spent a great amount of time by giving back to the community by volunteering at a Sikh temple by helping to serve the elderly. I have also invested time in volunteering for Beryl Ford Public school as a teaching assistant where I help children develop strong learning skills. I have also worked with volunteering for Homelife Realty Ltd as my uncle has helped me to develop excellent work experience. I have also tutored young children such as my little cousins with reading, writing and math skills. During my consecutive program at York University, I have volunteered for the “The Advanced Credit Experience” (ACE) program which helps high school students transition into university. Within this program, students receive a bursary to if they succeed due to barriers they endure in receiving a post-secondary education. As part of the Miss Universe Canada competition, Sara has been raising funds and awareness for Operation Smile.

What is your most unusual talent?

I can drink and eat food unbelievably really fast. I can also talk non-stop for a long period of time about a certain topic.

Where is the most interesting place you have been to?

I believe that the most interesting place I have been to is India. The culture is very intriguing and there are many interesting types of people that live in India with all sorts of different ethnic backgrounds. There are many holy cities located in India where many of the residents and tourists go to visit. The Taj Mahal and the Golden Temple are two very interesting places that I have visited in my recent trip to India.

What do you hope to be doing in ten years?

I hope to become a successful actress, entrepreneur and a lawyer in the future. I also hope to raise a beautiful family with a charming husband and beautiful children. I hope to become a very famous and renowned individual with world-wide seeking attention. I hope to become heavily involved with charity work and hope to promote these causes to people all around the word. I hope to build charitable institutions that will help the less fortunate.

Is there anything you would like to add that we haven’t asked?

I believe that I am a very positive role model to people in my community. I am a responsible individual who hopes that by making a small difference in the world that will cause great change.
