Feriel can be described as a hardworking, enthusiastic, and curious woman. She immigrated to Canada at the age of 11 years old and has adopted Montreal as her new home. Aside from her native language, she had learnt French and English as well as some Korean.
Feriel has always been a high achiever. She has received ‘excellence’ awards every year throughout her high school path along a scholarship from McGill University to reward her exceptional academic achievements in her last year of high school. Aside from being studious, she was also loved by many people in high school and was voted as prom Queen. She recently completed her Pharm. D at the university of Montreal and is now a licensed pharmacist contributing to the well-being of her patients.
Feriel is empathetic and enjoys contributing to her community. She has worked as a research agent at a paediatric hospital (CHU Sainte-Justine) and volunteered at Montreal’s Children Hospital. She also volunteered at a local dogs shelter.
She has always been fascinated by the fashion and beauty industry. Hence why , She’s done modeling for local makeup and clothing brands in Montreal. In her free time, Feriel enjoys dancing and took several bachata and salsa classes. She takes interest in fitness, physical and mental well-being and loves jogging and reading. Last but not least, she enjoys travelling and learning about other cultures.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
Dancing (Bachata, Salsa), jogging, badminton, reading books, swimming, travelling

I’m taking bachata/salsa beginner classes; I have taken violin classes for a year in high school.
In what sports, if any, have you participated?
Swimming
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
Angelina Jolie. Not only she’s very beautiful inside and out but she effortlessly portrays elegance and poise. She also does/did a lot of charity and humanitarian work in a genuine manner. She’s a great actor and mother. She takes to heart anything she does and that is very inspiring.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than participating in this pageant)?
Getting into Pharm.D
What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?
Interesting fact : The city I was born in before immigrating here is a hot city located in the desert but my current city is a snowy cold one! (Montréal).
Unique/interesting thing that happened : I participated in a cardiac arrest resuscitation of a patient during one of my hospital internships with other fellow healthcare professionals!
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I would love to work at an international pharmaceutical company and participate in a project that would impact a large scale of people’s lives.
What would be your “dream job” in life?
I already have it : a pharmacist! Otherwise, I would love to be a mother one day.
Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was born in Algeria and was raised there for about 10 years then we immigrated to Montreal where I spent the rest of my life until now.
My childhood was great. I have wonderful educated parents who have always prioritized my health, education and well-being. One fond memory of mine was my parents taking us to the beach at night in summer blasting music and when we got there, we simply sat on the sand watching the sea waves at night and drinking tea (along other people).
List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.
Haven’t had any unusual jobs!

I volunteered at Montreal’s Children’s Hospital. I also volunteered at a local food bank.
What is your most unusual talent?
I can turn my right hand 360 degrees around my wrist!
Where is the most interesting place you have been to?
Porto in Portugal.If it was up to me, I would call it the city of love. I felt and saw love everywhere around me when I was in Porto.
What do you hope to be doing in ten years?
Work at an international pharmaceutical company and helping in the development of a medication that would positively impact a large group of people. Be a wife and a mother. Owning my dream house. Be an ex-MUC queen ! Travel to a lot of beautiful destinations. Be happy and healthy!
