Navpreet Kaur Banga is a 28-year-old Indo-Canadian that has caused quite an uproar on social media through her fitness, comedy, and lifestyle content. Born in Chandigarh, India Navpreet moved to Canada at the age of 10 and since then resides in Richmond, BC. Navpreet is known to be quite the inspiration for her young fans, she popularized the term ” Sherni Banke” which means to live as a lioness, teaching the young to chase their dreams, break barriers, and that they are capable of more than they think.
Navpreet is also a known actor with 3 films released in the Punjabi language and another feature film on the way. Navpreet was compared to Priyanka Chopra in 2018 and given the title of Priyanka Chopra doppelganger with the friendly actress tweeting herself that her own mother was fooled by the similar looks! Navpreet respects Priyanka and her “Sherni”- like essence, and how Priyanka constantly pushes women to move forward and to push their own boundaries.
Navpreet is currently studying Law at KPU Surrey and wishes to become a Criminal Lawyer one day. Navpreet wishes to win Miss Universe Canada so that she can be the light in the darkness for many young girls, children, and people all around the world. She will always wear the beautiful Canadian flag as an imaginary cape wherever she goes in honor of the multiculturalism that accepted and loved her when she first came to Canada. She wishes to teach the world her ways through battling difficulties in life with poise and grace during her reign as Miss Universe Canada.
