What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?

I have a wide range of interests! I enjoy learning about various topics, helping people with their questions, and engaging in creativity. I love dancing, traveling, spending time with my family, and doing community work.

List any special training you have had (music, art, drama, dance, etc.)

I began learning Indian dance at the age of five and continued performing with an Indian dance group.

In what sports, if any, have you participated?

Dance has always been my passion, and I see it as a sport. I’ve taken multiple dance lessons, which has kept me active and engaged in this art form.

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?

One person, other than my parents, who has had the most influence on my life is my older sister. She is a true role model in my life. Her hard work and perseverance show me that no matter what challenges come my way, I should get up and continue life with a smile.

What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than participating in this pageant)?

My proudest personal accomplishments include being the current Miss Canada South Asia, receiving an award from the Bangladesh Society of Montreal for my achievements, and being invited to galas and academic events as a spokesperson to motivate others.

What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?

One of the most remarkable aspects of my life is overcoming significant health challenges from birth. Despite being born with a life-threatening condition—a hole in my heart—I have defied the odds and thrived. Today, at 33 years old, I proudly serve as a college law teacher and contribute to a respected law firm. Additionally, my journey includes the honor of being crowned as Miss Universe Canada South Asia and representing my country as a delegate in the global Miss Universe competition. This journey has shaped my perspective on resilience and the power of determination in achieving personal and professional success.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?

My career ambition is to give back to my country, Canada, which has provided me with abundant opportunities to lead the life I live today. As the title holder of Miss Universe Canada, I aspire to use this platform to make a meaningful impact. I plan to advocate for important causes, promote diversity and inclusion, and inspire others to pursue their dreams with resilience and dedication. Through community engagement, educational initiatives, and promoting Canadian values globally, I aim to express my gratitude and contribute positively to society.

What would be your “dream job” in life?

My dream job in life would be to inspire positive change and make a meaningful impact on individuals and communities. I envision a role where I can encourage everyone to embrace kindness and humility, recognizing their profound impact on society. By fostering empathy, understanding, and inclusivity, I aim to contribute to a world where compassion and respect thrive, empowering individuals to reach their full potential and create lasting change for the betterment of humanity.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.

I was born in Bangladesh and raised in Canada. My childhood was marked by significant health challenges, as I faced life-threatening situations where doctors repeatedly predicted my demise during frequent hospital visits. Despite these difficulties, the unwavering support of my parents and medical professionals allowed me to overcome these obstacles and thrive. These experiences have deeply shaped my resilience and determination to make a positive impact in my life and the lives of others.

List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.

Every job I have held has contributed immensely to my growth, providing valuable experiences and life lessons. Each role, whether in teaching, legal practice, or my responsibilities as Miss Universe Canada South Asia, has uniquely shaped my skills and perspective. These diverse experiences have reinforced my commitment to continuous learning and personal development, preparing me to contribute meaningfully to every endeavor I undertake.

List any volunteering you have done.

I have dedicated myself to various volunteer efforts, spanning both the Bangladesh and Canadian communities. As the title holder of Miss Canada South Asia, I am particularly engaged in volunteering initiatives that support and uplift diverse groups within our society. These experiences have deepened my understanding of community needs and reinforced my commitment to making a positive impact through active participation and advocacy.

What is your most unusual talent?

My most unusual talent lies in my ability to bring joy and laughter to those around me. While I don’t identify as a comedian, I have a natural knack for creating a positive atmosphere and lifting spirits through my energy and good vibes. This talent allows me to connect with others and foster a sense of comfort and camaraderie in any situation. I believe in the power of laughter to uplift and unite people, making it an integral part of my interactions and contributions to both professional and personal settings.

Where is the most interesting place you have been to?

I find significance and inspiration in every place I visit, as each location has contributed uniquely to my personal and professional growth. Each destination has offered invaluable experiences and lasting memories. These diverse environments have broadened my perspective, fostering a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity and the interconnectedness of our global community.

What do you hope to be doing in ten years?

In ten years, I hope to be actively involved in raising awareness and driving meaningful change within our country. Through advocacy, community engagement, and leveraging my platform, I aim to address societal issues, promote inclusivity, and foster positive transformation. My aspiration is to contribute to a more equitable and compassionate society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
