Mansi Sojitra is an ambitious, confident, amiable and graceful woman who strives to break a stereotype in the workplace and advocate for mental health awareness. Raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Mansi is the only child and is very close to her parents who have always supported her unconditionally and motivated her encouragingly, which has provided her with a solid foundation. Mansi keeps aiming high in all she does in line with her inner strength and conviction that she can follow her aspirations.

Mansi attended the Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology and graduated with honours. She focused her studies on Business Management, Finance and entrepreneurship. Her dedication, smart work and persistence set the precedence for a busy lifestyle, as she currently works in a senior role in Banking and runs her own b2b business while incorporating daily fitness regimes, self-care and maintaining social relationships. Mansi is employed as a Financial Advisor (Personal Banker) for the Td Bank, an entrepreneur and mental health advocate, who loves helping others through her skills and knowledge. She works closely with Robin Hood Army an education-based NGO that supports free education for children. Being the youngest senior position holder in banking, Mansi finds pleasure in challenging herself with new adventures. In her present occupation, she aspires to prove that age is merely a number and we can achieve anything.

Mansi has been privileged to grow up with the opportunity to get involved in many extracurricular activities. At a young age, she developed a passion for sports and played at the national level martial art. Aside from this sport, Mansi participated in basketball and chess. Apart from her athletic ability Mansi is also a dancer and artist. Mansi uses her creative mind towards approach new ways of sustainable business operations by promoting eco-friendly lifestyle.

Mansi’s greatest passion is pageantry. At the age of 22, she dreamt of being part of the pageant world, pageantry for Mansi is an experience to grow into a stronger and more confident woman while giving back to society and a platform to advocate mental health and education for every child awareness.

What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?

I love helping and influencing others through my skills and knowledge. I highly enjoy personal development, self care and challenges that help my growth.

List any special training you have had (music, art, drama, dance, etc.)

I had training in music, dance, theatre (drama) and self defense classes.

In what sports, if any, have you participated?

I am sports lover and big believer that most of the life lessons can be learnt through sports. Since childhood I have participated and won several medals and trophies in Taekwondo. I have also explored other sports such as basketball, chess and volleyball.

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?

My Taekwondo coach- he has though me to be persistent, focus and passionate about life goals. He has been great influence, motivator and supporter. He always has pushed me to achieve my dreams.

What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than participating in this pageant)?

I am very proud of the person I am today and the accomplishment this far. My proudest personal accomplishment so far would be being inspiration for my friends and 100 young girls at Robinhood army (NGO). When they say “they want to be like me”. I have always been go getter moved to different country by my self at very young age, graduating with honors while being financially independent to buying my dream home and establishing my own business. My proudest movement is seeing my parents proud of my achievements.

What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?

I moved to Canada at age 18 alone with no connections. I experienced different cultures, way of living and lifestyle. This molded my personality to be best of my self and over come all the challenges thrown my way. It showed me the beauty of having open mind to take risk and see the things with silver linings.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?

I want to inspire and spread love around the world. As of right now, my focus is on Miss Universe Canada as it is the path towards achieving my goal of Miss Universe. MUC and MU is the best platforms to accomplish my ambition as it empowers me to help others in need, inspire youth and spread love. I can open more doors and awareness for young girls of color. I represent 1000s of girls of color and that they too are capable and worthy of representing Canada at Miss Universe

What would be your “dream job” in life?

My dream job would be to open my own NGO while working towards stable sustainable business.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.

Growing up I had marvellous childhood. I was born in Gujarat, India. I would constantly busy myself with so many different activities from dance classes to singing and even taekwondo also winning the numerous competitions. I was very adventurous child from climbing trees, playing in sand which probably explains why I am the happiest surrounded by nature. Being a only child I am very close to my parents who happens to be my best friends.

List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.

At 19 I was hired as a Financial service representative ironically I was top 3 financial service representative in Atlantic Canada Region during my tenure with the company. Role has to grant and collect debt. This was my unusual job and clear sign that I love helping people and providing solutions that has positive impact

What is your most unusual talent?

I can talk in 3 different languages in 1 sentence.

Where is the most interesting place you have been to?

I got opportunity to visit Jurik, Switzerland. It is to the day one of my favorite country in the world. Not only is the most beautiful country, but the people are kind and socially accepting. Switzerland is peace loving country that emphasizes the preservation of nature.

What do you hope to be doing in ten years?

In ten years, I want to establish my business at a bigger scale, and wants to create opportunities through my business and social skills to help people around me. I desire to have a family of my own and continue spend the movements of my life with people I love the most.

Is there anything you would like to add that we haven’t asked?

Winning the title for me is not just about accomplishing my goal but its about accomplishing my dream to make the world a better place to chase for bigger positive impact, to demolish the hate and establish love and kindness. It would be my pleasure to be able to represent Canada and bring title home.
