Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?

One person who has had a big influence on my life is my grandmother. She was born in Portugal and had to learn English as a second language after moving to Canada. Watching her overcome challenges with strength, grace, and determination has always inspired me. She’s shown me the value of hard work, resilience, and kindness. Every day, her example reminds me to face new challenges with courage and to lead with compassion in everything I do.

What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than participating in this pageant)?

One of my proudest personal accomplishments is running my own business while pursuing my nursing studies and staying involved in my community through regular volunteer work. Balancing these different roles has taught me resilience, time management, and the importance of giving back. I’m proud that I’ve been able to grow as a leader, make a positive impact, and stay true to my values along the way.

What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?

One of the most interesting things about me is that I’ve balanced several different roles at a young age—being an early childhood educator, running my own business, volunteering weekly, and now pursuing a nursing career. Each of these experiences has shaped who I am and taught me the value of compassion, hard work, and adaptability. I love that I’ve been able to follow multiple passions and use them to make a positive impact in my community.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?

My goal is to become a nurse, with a special focus on aesthetic nursing. I’m passionate about helping women feel confident in their own skin by enhancing their natural beauty—not changing it. I believe that true beauty comes from within, and through this work, I hope to empower others to feel as beautiful on the outside as they already are on the inside.

What would be your “dream job” in life?

My dream job is to work in healthcare, where I can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Another dream of mine is to one day become a mother, while also having the opportunity to travel the world and help children in need of healthcare support. Being able to combine my passion for caregiving with global outreach would be incredibly fulfilling.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.

I was raised in Leamington, Ontario, between two households, as my parents were divorced. Growing up, I often felt different from many of my friends whose parents were together, and it took time for me to understand and accept that my experience was unique. Navigating two homes taught me resilience, adaptability, and empathy. It helped me appreciate the importance of family in all its forms and shaped me into someone who embraces life’s challenges with an open heart and a positive outlook.

List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.

While I was saving up money for school, I actually worked in a factory for 12-hour shifts—something very different from anything I had ever done before. It was physically demanding, but it taught me the value of hard work, perseverance, and determination. That experience gave me a deeper appreciation for the opportunities I have now and the importance of pushing through challenges to reach my goals.

List any volunteering you have done.

I’ve been fortunate to volunteer in many areas of my community. I’ve helped run golf tournaments, taught younger children how to skate through hockey programs, and supported cancer charity events. I’ve also volunteered at women’s marathons and firework celebrations, as well as with Ronald McDonald House Charities, helping with events and supporting families during their stay. Each of these experiences has shown me the power of community and the importance of giving back in meaningful ways.

What is your most unusual talent?

One of my most unusual talents is that I’m extremely flexible—and not just in life, but literally! Whether it’s during Pilates or showing off random stretches to friends, I can surprise people with how bendy I am. It always makes for a fun moment, and it reminds me that being flexible—both in body and in mindset—is such a valuable skill in life.

Where is the most interesting place you have been to?

The most interesting place I’ve been to is Portugal. It was incredible to experience the cultural differences and see firsthand how my family lives there. I loved observing the slower pace of life, the strong sense of community, and how day-to-day routines are so different from what I’m used to. It really gave me a deeper appreciation for my roots and the beauty of embracing different ways of life.

What do you hope to be doing in ten years?

In ten years, I hope to be working as a successful nurse, with a special focus on aesthetic nursing, helping women feel confident and empowered. I also hope to be a mother, building a loving family, and continuing to volunteer and give back to my community. If possible, I would love to combine my passion for healthcare and travel by participating in outreach programs to help children and families in need around the world.

Is there anything you would like to add that we haven’t asked?

I’d love to add that throughout everything I do whether it’s pursuing my nursing career or volunteering. I strive to lead with kindness, compassion, and authenticity. I believe small actions can make a big impact. And a fun fact about me: my absolute favourite thing in the world is Disney! I’m truly a child at heart sometimes, and I believe that holding onto that sense of joy and wonder helps me connect with others in a meaningful way.
