Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?

Princess Diana Of Wales. The reason why Princess Diana has had a great influence on my life is because she is my role model. I respect Princess Diana deeply for the endless good she bought into the world. From helping orphans to helping the homeless, she was a remarkable, beautiful and elegant leader. I am alot like her. When I listened to her past interviews, her beliefs, morals and everything Princess Diana spoke about, her beliefs were very prestigious. I myself am a woman with a very elegant and classy strong mindset. I have always been a black sheep. I carry myself with alot of grace and dignity. While growing up while other kids would be bystanders to bullying. I would be the only one to stand up against the bully and say stop, even if that meant getting bullied myself. My grandparents, before passing away, would always say there was a leader inside me. I’m different from the other kids. One day I will do great things. My life’s first dream at the age of 13 was to one day open an orphanage. That dream still lives in me to this day and I never miss out on the opportunity to help orphans in any way I can. I’m an active individual who helps different charities in my community. At the age of 32, I’m chasing my dreams. Miss Universe Canada is not just a dream for me, it’s my calling to help millions of people.

What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than participating in this pageant)?

I am really proud of myself for many things. I am a strong, beautiful, independent woman. I work extremely hard every single day. I am extremely proud of myself for not giving up on myself when life made me fall again and again. I am so proud of myself for taking myself out of the darkest places mentally, emotionally, physically and replacing that with love, happiness and positivity and healing. I believe you have to be your own best friend, because no one is coming to save you and no one is responsible for your happiness accepting you. I am so extremely proud of myself that I beat the fight against sickness, sadness, anxiety, postpartum, multiple surgeries, obesity, toxic abusive narcissistic people and toxic environments, bullies. I believe I could be the perfect role model for many women. Just like myself that you are not alone and women are so powerful, so strong, we just need to start loving ourselves and believing in ourselves, and it all starts with a change in your mindset. I overcame every obstacle with a positive winning mindset. Mental health is important. Prioritizing your health and happiness is extremely important, and it all starts with a positive attitude.

What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?

Never judge a book by its cover. Describes me perfectly. I am not just a beautiful face. Something fascinating about me is that I have been misunderstood by people my whole life. I know this because my whole life people have confessed they misunderstood me completely. When people first meet me, they judge me entirely in a stereotypical way. “The beautiful face with a gorgeous smile and a happy go luck life where I have had it easy my entire life.” That could be far from the truth. I was brutally bullied throughout middle school. Growing up as a middle child, I was overlooked many times and learned to do everything by myself like a child who’s growing up too fast. Being a 90’s kid in Canada, I faced alot of racism. It wasn’t easy. My parents were extremely strict. I started working multiple jobs at a young age to find my independence. I fell into abusive narcissistic friendships that lowered my confidence to make me believe I was worthless. I worked extremely hard for a company for several years and, as sad as it is, my growth and excellence within the company intimidated people in management and I faced workplace harassment and bullying, so I quit my job. My whole life, I endlessly faced obstacles and problems, all because of people who would get envious and intimidated by my personality and beauty. So I started downplaying myself, so I stopped standing out. Being the prettiest is not always the easiest. And when I started talking to many women, I realized there were many women who related to me. I started finding my confidence all over again and got interested in pageants and started my pageant journey. I have three beautiful children. I had two near-death traumatic childbirth emergency surgeries. I then got extremely sick and had another surgery where they removed one of my organs. I lost someone very close to me due to breast cancer. I lost people I love due to Covid. I gained lots of unhealthy weight and lost myself and my confidence during the pandemic. I lost hope. I faced so much all at once. I felt really sad. I didn’t deserve any of it. None of it made any sense to me. Until I understood, maybe this was my destiny calling. This was my journey and this journey would help shape me into the best leader to help millions of people around the world to fulfill my dream of helping millions of people. To bring good change to this world. I didn’t carry a victim mindset. I got back up like a winner. Worked on myself, practiced self-love and care. Successfully healed from my surgeries. I worked really hard and, with discipline and healthy habits, I lost 80 pounds, safely finding myself again and my confidence again. Interesting fact about me. I have never had any cosmetic surgeries or botox /fillers. (I am not against cosmetic surgery, I believe it’s a personal choice and there is nothing wrong with doing what makes you happy). I am a huge advocate for health and fitness and promote positivity and body positivity and mental health. I am also a successful business owner and entrepreneur.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?

My career ambition is to be Miss Universe Canada. And to proudly win and bring home the Miss Universe Crown to Canada. Along with my pageant career being my biggest ambition, I also plan to raise thousands of dollars to donate to charities. And to continue to run a successful online business. I plan to accomplish my goals by staying consistent and disciplined. I work very hard every single day towards my goals. From my personal life to my professional life, I am very disciplined and organized and confidently navigate my duties as a mother, businesswoman and National Delegate with poise and elegance to maintain balance.

What would be your “dream job” in life?

My dream job in life would be being Miss Universe Canada and representing our beautiful country Canada at Miss Universe. It is my dream. For me, there is no bigger job than this honorable responsibility to fulfill with elegance and grace.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.

I was raised in Alberta, Canada for part of my childhood and soon after moved to Ontario. I came to Canada with my family when I was a little baby. I am a Pakistani Canadian. My childhood was wonderful and blessed. I have a really loving family who support me so much. Growing up in Canada in the 90’s, I faced alot of racism in schools and in the playgrounds. But there was nothing we could do about it. No one cared. I am against racism and want to use my voice as Miss Universe Canada to promote equality, love and diversity.

List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.

I am a people person. I love to talk to people, get to know them. I worked in the food service industry for several years and made many friends and connections as a server. I worked for one of Canada’s biggest telecommunications companies and have so much tech-savvy knowledge. All my jobs were customer service-based.

List any volunteering you have done.

During the Covid 19 Pandemic, I volunteered to step out of my comfort and safety zone and risk my life to make deliveries of essential items and some meals to nursing homes. I volunteered in Covid 19 vaccine clinics and food banks for several hours a day. It was one of the hardest tasks I took upon myself, emotionally and physically, because help was very limited, but help was desperately needed, so I refused to give up and let fear get the best of me. I am not afraid of new challenges.

What is your most unusual talent?

My most unusual talent is that I can multitask at an unbelievable pace. Another unusual talent of mine is that I can impersonate the voices of many cartoon characters and Disney Princesses.

Where is the most interesting place you have been to?

The most interesting place I have been to is Pakistan, because when I visited Pakistan for the first time, it helped shape my character as the woman I am today. Seeing innocent people who have so little but deserve better. From orphans to innocent children begging on the streets. It was the first time I saw what poverty and hunger looked like in person and not just on TV or in books. It was very sad and my dream to help millions in need was born. I was only a teenager. I remember taking money from my elders and buying food to feed a mother with five children sitting on the roadside begging. That feeling I felt in my heart when she smiled seeing her children eat I can never forget. And since that moment, my charity work has not stopped. Every month out of my earnings a small proceed goes towards feeding the homeless.

What do you hope to be doing in ten years?

In 10 years, I hope I have made history and solved homelessness in Canada and raised great awareness about mental health and body positivity. And have raised millions of dollars for multiple charities to help those in need. I also hope to work with sick kids and raise lots of money to bring a change in the lives of sick children. I hope to still be involved in the pageant industry as a strong and successful role model for many women just like myself.
