Driven by her appreciation for British Columbia’s beloved wine country, Kelowna, Shanelle Connell turned what is typically a common Okanagan activity into a hit fundraiser that brought awareness to Operation Smile. Providing enough surgeries for approximately 20 children in developing countries, Connell was astonished by the support her city provided at the wine tasting and silent auction fundraiser which took place at the Kelowna Yacht Club. She could not have been more thankful for the outcome and looks forward to knowing that the hard work put in will make a huge difference in someone else’s life.
