Tori Ghobadi was born in Iran and raised in Canada, where she later on became a proud Canadian Citizen. She graduated high school with astonishing grades and now is attending college for Makeup for Media and Creative Arts. She believes that beauty is not only for what is on the outside, but also for what is on the inside.
Tori has spent most of her life becoming a better version of herself and truly wanting to make an impact around the world. She raised over $2,600 for the Canadian Cancer Society in her senior year of high school and gets praised almost everyday for her beauty and kindness.
What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
I enjoy reading, staying active, makeup, hairstyling, fashion and modelling.
In what sports, if any, have you participated?
Badminton, track & field, figure skating, basketball, ballet, dance, tennis and karate.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
Angelina Jolie is one person, other than my parents, that have had the most influence in my life. I have always been a big fan of her and her movies and not only that but I am a big fan of how she uses social media to spread awareness about maters going on around the world, especially matters involving women. She works to help refugees and has visited countries such as Iraq and Thailand to help find solutions for people who had been forced to flee their homes. She stands up for what is right and for women. She also empowers others to make the world a better place. She is someone that influences my life a lot and someone I look up to.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than participating in this pageant)?
My personal proudest accomplishment is getting accepted into College and working on the side. I am very proud to have been accepted into College with all the hard work I have done in high school.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
My career ambition is working towards the field that I am most interested in. I am very intreated in the cosmetic and beauty field and I plan to accomplish my dreams of getting in that field by finishing College and getting a full time job in the beauty field.
What would be your “dream job” in life?
My “dream job” would be something in the cometic/beauty field. A job that would allow me to make women and people in general feel and look their best. Wether it is a makeup artist or nurse practitioner, my dream job would definitely take place in the beauty field.
Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was born and raised in Iran and moved to Canada at a young age. I was around 12 years old when I moved to Canada and later on became a Canadian Citizen. My childhood was very memorable and fun. Thanks to my amazing mother, she made sure that my childhood was filled with love, fun and happiness. I was a very outgoing and smart child and would always brighten up the atmosphere no matter where I was. My childhood was definitely something every kid would dream of.
List any volunteering you have done.
I volunteered to be apart of the Relay for Life team in my senior year of high school. I ended up fundraising over $2,600 for the Canadian Cancer Society and later on won an award for fund-raising the most out of everyone in my grade and truly making an impact.
Where is the most interesting place you have been to?
The most interesting place I have been to would definitely be China. I visited China. Beijing when I was only four years old and ended up touching the Great Wall of China. That was also the same time the 2008 Summer Olympics was happening and I had the opportunity to go to it at four years old.
What do you hope to be doing in ten years?
In ten years, I hope to be successful in the career I will be in. I hope to be influencing others to do better and make the world a better place. In 10 years, I hope to be somewhere that my younger self would look up to and be proud.
