I love adventure travel, hiking, biking, and reading. My favourite things in the entire world are exploring with my family. If I could spend all day volunteering at animal rescue centers I would.

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
My husband, Devin Featherstone. For always encouraging me to chase my dreams- as crazy as they might be!
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than participating in this pageant)?
I survived 21 days with absolutely nothing, no shelter, no food, no water- in the Colombian jungle. I was away from friends, and had no contact with my family. It was a true showcase of perseverance. I was dirty- bug bitten, and completely with myself. I’m so beyond proud of my accomplishment.
What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?
When I was 24 I decided that I was going to backpack through India on my own. I think the most interesting thing about me is my enjoyment of being uncomfortable- I thrive in situations that are foreign and I absolutely love immersing myself in different cultures.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I am incredibly fortunate with the career that I’m in. I’ve been in aviation for 17 years. In my next career life, I would really like to get involved with animals. I’ve started looking into programs to get a degree in animal behavior and I hope to pursue that in the near future!
What would be your “dream job” in life?
To be an animal dietician at an animal rescue center in the jungle 🙂
Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was raised in Calgary Alberta, and a little bit in Stouffville Ontario. My parents separated when I was an infant. Although not together, they both were involved in raising me. My mom was an entrepreneur and taught me grace. My dad was a heavy duty mechanic and taught me to love nature and adventure. I spent my days horseback riding, and my nights howling at the moon!
List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.
I’ve been a bartender, a flight attendant, and everything in between. I love experiencing new jobs!
List any volunteering you have done.
I consistently volunteer with brown bagging for Calgary’s kids, I just spend a week in Costa Rica volunteering at an animal rescue center. I’ve also been an active volunteer for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
What is your most unusual talent?
I can start a fire with nothing but my surroundings and a little flint and steel!
Where is the most interesting place you have been to?
The most interesting place that I’ve been to- oh that’s SO hard to answer. I’ve been to so many unique locations. I would have to say though, that out of all of the places that I’ve been- I have a love affair with Canada. Prince Edward Island offers not only stunning landscape, but, amazing culture. I think we take for granted out own backyard.
What do you hope to be doing in ten years?
In ten years, I would love to be working for a shelter or a rescue center- thinking about retirement- and spending all summer at my cabin in Nakusp BC, biking, gardening, and reading books.
