Kamuahao Hei is a 21 year old who is in her third year of undergrad university. With a mission to go to law school and pursue her career in immigration or real estate law.

Kamuahao is an environmentalist, aspiring author and the founder of The New Journey’s Initiatives which focuses on immigrants who are starting a new journey in their lives and careers. She started this platform because of the difficulty she encountered as an immigrant. In her blog she shares other immigrants stories with a mission to encourage others that they will also get through the challenges such as the feeling of homesick, accent differences, finding a community, and many more. Kamuahao enjoys volunteering at local shelter, cleaning her community, donating food and other items. On her free time she enjoys reading, running, baking, writing, going to the gym and sewing.

 What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?

I am interested in studying law and the effects it causes on society. I enjoy reading novels, running, community cleanups and spending time with my loved ones

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?

My aunty because she never gave up on her studies and graduated at the age of 40 years old and she inspired me to never give up on my dreams because my time will eventually come at the right time.

What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than participating in this pageant)?

Being in University have been my proudest accomplishment because it is rare for my family to go to university. Winning my first pageant was also one of my biggest accomplishment and having the opportunity to participate in the United States to present my country Canada.

What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?

Most interesting about me is that I am very quiet but when I am given the opportunity to talk I talk with a lot of passion.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?

Becoming an immigration lawyer and I am currently studying to go to law school.

What would be your “dream job” in life?

Lawyer

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.

I was raised on a farm in Namibia and my childhood was full of planting vegetables, milking the cattle’s, riding horses and donkeys, eating a lot of beef and corns, playing outdoors like making houses from mud, taking care of goats and sheep’s as well as eating wild berries. My childhood was fun and I didn’t realize how much worth it was until I no longer had all those things around me.

I hope to be a business owner, a lawyer, a worker for United Nations, a wife and a mother.
