Tennis

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?

One of the most influential people in my life is my professional leader and close friend, Reshma. She’s been like a sister and my biggest supporter—always accepting me for who I am while encouraging me to step outside my comfort zone. Thanks to her belief in me, I found the courage to rebuild my business after failure. Watching the way she inspires and uplifts other young professionals has deeply influenced me and sparked my own desire to be that kind of role model for others.

What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than participating in this pageant)?

My proudest personal accomplishment is building a new life in Canada after leaving Vietnam. I started from scratch—learning a new language, culture, and navigating challenges with little support. Today, I’m proud to be a member of CPA, a business owner, and someone who inspires young professionals to work hard, stay resilient, and chase their dreams.

What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?

One of the most interesting things about me is my discipline. I wake up at 5 a.m., start my day with a workout, and can work 14–16 hours while still making time to play tennis. I thrive on structure, consistency, and pushing my limits. For me, discipline isn’t a burden—it’s a lifestyle that fuels my goals and keeps me grounded, energized, and always moving forward.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?

My career ambition is to grow my jewelry business into a trusted and respected brand across Canada and beyond. I’m not aiming for overnight success—I’m focused on building something meaningful and long-lasting. With my background in accounting and experience running businesses, I’m taking practical steps every day—learning from mistakes, improving my products, and building relationships with customers and partners. It’s not always easy, but I love the process and I believe in where it’s going.

What would be your “dream job” in life?

My dream job in life is to be a mom. With any career, you can work hard and eventually achieve your goals—but being a mother is the most challenging and meaningful role of all. It teaches you how to give without expecting, how to embrace with patience, and how to love unconditionally. To me, that’s the most powerful and rewarding job anyone could have.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.

I was raised in Vietnam in a close-knit, hardworking family with three brothers and a sister. From an early age, my parents taught us the importance of working hard and helping those who face greater difficulties. Growing up in a developing country like Vietnam, I saw how many people struggle daily, and this shaped my values of empathy, generosity, and perseverance. These lessons continue to guide me in both my personal and professional life.

List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.

I haven’t had many unusual jobs, but one role I naturally take on is being the friend everyone trusts. People often come to me to share their struggles because I listen without judgment and offer honest advice. I especially try to support and encourage women to believe in themselves and keep going. Being that kind of support has been one of the most meaningful parts of my life.

List any volunteering you have done.

When I lived in Vietnam, I volunteered regularly by donating food to an orphanage once a month.

What is your most unusual talent?

Listening and advising:
My most unusual talent is being the go-to person for friends when they need advice or someone to really listen. I’m good at understanding others and helping them find their own strength.

Where is the most interesting place you have been to?

The most interesting place I’ve been to is Peru. There, I witnessed both wealth and hardship side by side, yet the people were incredibly generous and warm. Their culture of hugging and kissing made me feel welcomed everywhere I went. The vibrant spirit of the people combined with amazing food made my visit truly unforgettable.

What do you hope to be doing in ten years?

In ten years, I see myself as a successful and respected business owner, having built a strong, sustainable company that reflects my values of integrity and innovation. I believe that true impact comes from a solid foundation—financial stability paired with personal growth. With this foundation, I want to not only support my family and community but also inspire and empower others, especially young professionals and women, to pursue their dreams confidently. Success, to me, means lifting others as I rise.
