Q&A

What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?

I am very passionate about fitness and wellness, I spend a lot of my time training in the gym as well as at the hot Pilates studio. I volunteer in my community, I am passionate about fashion (art you can wear). I love to help people (was looking at life coaching at one point because my friends tell me I’m inspirational). I frequently journal for wellness as well have started my own small business related to juicing (making fresh juicing plans for clients aiming to heal chronic illnesses naturally).

List any special training you have had (music, art, drama, dance, etc.)

I was a national level varsity athlete (swimming), and I was taught how to play the piano and love cooking.

In what sports, if any, have you participated?

  • Competitive swimming (varsity athlete all 4 years of undergrad)
  • OUA bronze medalist 2023
  • Captain of my high school volleyball team
  • Track and field (city high jump winner) and 4x 100 m relay winner (anchor for the relay)
  • Cross country running
  • Basketball team

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?

My baba (passed away now) Mary Borowicz she was our cities first female city councillor from 1988-2002 (Sault Ste. Marie). She was a passionate business woman who always stood firm in her role and with class. She taught me to believe in myself and never back down when someone tells you, “you are not good enough”. She aided me in helping me reach my goals by teaching me to be confident and bold in my decisions but use elegance, brains and class to do so. She also taught me empathy and compassion as well as the importance of community involvement and giving back to those less fortunate. She was a heavy influence in who I’ve now become.

What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than participating in this pageant)?

Graduating University as a varsity athlete and also being an active member in the community and receiving a bronze medal at the OUA championship for placing third with my team in the province. I was able to maintain a high average while training 6 days a week averaging (7-8 practices a week) while completing a full course load. Being a member of this team taught me the ups and downs of life – I failed but also succeeded I learned many valuable life lessons (I was bullied and far from home) but never gave up I knew I would be able to make it out so I always strived and no matter what people told me I always believed in myself and knew I could do it.

What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?

Something unique about me is that I’ve combined my passion for fitness and wellness with my love for community by starting a small business called replenish at 23. I’m not just building a career — I’m creating a movement to help girls feel confident in their bodies, supported in their minds, and empowered in their lives. At 23, I’ve built a brand, become a public speaker, and I’m using every opportunity — including Miss Universe Canada — to show young girls that your pain can become your power.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?

Eventually become CEO of my own juicing business with my sister (I started the business with my sister June of 2024 called replenish). We currently are enrolled in a small business program with a grant from the government at the end of the course to boost our small business (eventually we would like to turn the business into chains with a healthy menu and fitness plans that can help people crack down on health and chronic illness in efforts to heal their bodies naturally) I also am working at Elite Practice for a very influential person (Dr. Carlo Biasucci) he owns a dental consulting business and I am the social media manager for him and also do high ticket sales for him as well. I would like to eventually become as successful as Dr. Biasucci in my own business (he is a great mentor and I have learned so much already).

What would be your “dream job” in life?

My dream job would be to have successful chains of these replenish juicing chains with my sister. Where we have plans for people dealing with health issues or wanting to invest in their health journey we would provide juicing plans, fitness plans and meal plans – also have fresh foods that people could come in and have breakfast, lunch or dinner and get healthy options. Potentially with gyms inside the branch where people could purchase memberships and come use the space. (Pilates studio/ gym) and even a wellness aspect to the branch( red light therapy, saunas, cold tubs, steam rooms). As an ex varsity athlete after I graduated I wanted to maintain my fitness levels and eventually learned how important these three factors are for maintaining longevity and overall health in life(fitness, nutrition and wellness). l fell in love with health, wellness and nutrition so much that it is now my lifestyle. I also love helping people (I have my whole life) and want to help educate others struggling with learning about the fitness, wellness and nutrition. My goal would be that these chains became so successful we could hire several nutritionists, Pilates instructors, personal trainers and experts in wellness at each branch to create a large community of like minded driven individuals based on mine and my sisters nutritional, fitness and wellness values.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.

I was raised in a small northern town called Sault Ste Marie. I grew up playing a lot of sports, getting involved in community events (at my church, volunteering for events with the less fortunate, helping kids etc.) My parents did not have a lot of money starting out , but would do anything and everything in their power to make sure me and my sister were taken care of. I was really good in school I grew up with a mom and dad and two sets of grandparents who taught me how important being involved in school and extra curricular’s were. My family are my best friends (mom, dad and sister) they have stood by me through the ups and downs I have faced in my life and have been my rocks (I was frequently bullied in elementary school, I was naturally very athletic and there were these two girls who bullied me so bad I ended up with out of place ribs from sucking in my stomach because they called me fat – I had to move schools but things got better) I always was a natural leader but I was kind I tried to include everyone as I knew how awful it felt to be left out, I had many friends within my neighbourhood and we would always try to do things such as start a lemonade stands and donate the money to charities, participate in jump rope for heart/ hoops for hearts and many other activities as well. I had a very good childhood and am so grateful to my parents for guiding me and helping me throughout these years.

List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.

I worked at a puppy breeder on the outskirts of Guelph during university I helped take care of all of the dogs, make sure they were fed, had water, were walked, puppies all received medications and moms were loved during the time away from their host families. It was strange but so fun I learned so much and got to hang out with puppies which was so therapeutic during Covid and university.

List any volunteering you have done.

I have volunteered at a local homeless shelter in Guelph called hope house when I was on the swim team (pre package meals for the homeless as well as serve meals to homeless) would volunteer at local kid events at the dentist office in Sault Ste. Marie (Childs first dentist day making kids feel welcome to their first visit – dress up, face painting, horse rides and hang out with kids all day), festival of trees by the lung association I would participate and help set up and take down for the event, I would help at my local church’s tea and bazaars as a server (would serve all of the guests food and make sure they were seated at the correct tables), I have participated in donating my clothes to Ukrainian refugees from the war (given 5 big garbage bags full of clothes for women and children). I was a volunteer in a hockey camp with kids I helped train them and helped with set up and cleanup for the camp. I also volunteered for rotary festival which is a big festival in the Sault Ste. Marie community to raise funds for the Easter seals association (help individuals who struggle with disabilities) I would monitor kids in the bouncy houses (as I am certified in first aid/ CPR) and would assist with the big setup/ clean up of the event.

What is your most unusual talent?

One of my most unusual talents isn’t something you can see — it’s something you feel. I have a natural ability to uplift people’s spirits, even in tough moments. Whether I’m speaking on stage, walking into a room, or just having a one-on-one conversation, I bring a kind of positive energy that people say instantly raises the mood. I’m deeply passionate about helping others feel seen, valued, and empowered. I’ve learned that charisma isn’t just about being outgoing — it’s about using your voice and presence to make people feel like they matter. My voice and charisma is my superpower.

Where is the most interesting place you have been to?

The most interesting place I’ve been to isn’t just beautiful it’s meaningful. Volunteering with homeless people at hope house in Guelph. It was impactful, eye opening. Spending the day with homeless people getting to hear their stories, understand them and help them. It wasn’t the kind of “interesting” that comes from landmarks or luxury it was the kind that changes you. Being there reminded me that purpose lives in connection. It showed me how powerful it is to use your voice to inspire others, especially in places where they may not always feel heard. That experience stayed with me, and it’s one of the biggest reasons I do what I do today.

What do you hope to be doing in ten years?

In ten years, I see myself as the proud co-owner of a successful Replenish wellness brand alongside my sister — a business that not only promotes physical and mental well-being, but gives back in meaningful ways. I hope to have countless success stories of people we’ve helped through our work, whether it’s through fitness, community outreach, or simply showing up with compassion. I also see myself continuing to speak in schools across the country, empowering young girls to feel confident, strong, and capable of creating a life they love. Most importantly, I want to be in a place where I can give generously — not just financially to causes and charities, but with my time, energy, and voice.

Is there anything you would like to add that we haven’t asked?

I just want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone involved for giving me this opportunity I am genuinely honoured and have had tears in my eyes writing all of this, thank you so much.
