Swikriti Khadka
Hometown: Brampton, ON
Occupation: Medical Lab Technologist
Swikriti Khadka is a proud Nepalese Canadian woman pursuing a career in healthcare while actively involved in leadership, community outreach, culture, and advocacy. With a background in Medical Laboratory Technology, she is passionate about combining science, compassion, and service to create meaningful impact in people’s lives. Alongside healthcare, she is also a Zumba instructor, dance choreographer, and the Founder & CEO of Just Dance Studio, where she promotes confidence, creativity, wellness, and cultural expression through dance and mentorship.
Growing up in Nepal, Swikriti was greatly inspired by her mother, who worked as a nurse and midwife serving women and children in remote and underserved communities. Although her family lived in the city, her mother often traveled to rural areas of Nepal to support marginalized communities through maternal care, reproductive health, and child development initiatives. As a child, Swikriti sometimes struggled with missing her mother during those periods, but as she matured, she began to understand the profound impact of her work and the fulfillment that came from helping others. Witnessing that compassion and dedication became one of the greatest inspirations behind her decision to pursue healthcare and community service herself.
Today, Swikriti proudly represents the Nepalese Canadian community and hopes to use her platform to advocate for mental health awareness, women’s empowerment, and child and youth development. She actively volunteers with various non-profit organizations and community initiatives across Canada while supporting outreach campaigns focused on wellness, inclusivity, education, and empowerment.
As a woman from an underrepresented community, she believes representation matters deeply and hopes to reflect the beautiful unity in diversity that Canada stands for. Through every stage of her journey, she strives to represent resilience, purpose, compassion, and authenticity while inspiring others to embrace both their individuality and cultural identity with confidence.

In my free time, I actively involve myself in community and charity work in any way I can, even in the smallest ways, because I truly believe that every small act of kindness can create a meaningful impact and is a way of giving back to the community.
List any special training you have had (music, art, drama, dance, etc.)
I am a trained dancer and actor, and I have gained experience in the performing arts through various opportunities, including TV commercials, ad campaigns, print advertisements, regional films, and music videos as a teenager.

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
One person who has had a major influence on my life, other than my parents, is Sadhguru His teachings on mindfulness, inner balance, and living with awareness have helped me develop a more grounded and positive outlook on life. He has inspired me to focus on personal growth, self-discipline, and finding purpose in everything I do. His perspective has played a significant role in shaping how I approach challenges and stay centered in both my personal and professional life.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than participating in this pageant)?
My proudest personal accomplishment has been building my life from scratch after moving to Canada with my parents at the age of 19, during that in-between stage of becoming an adult while still learning and growing into maturity.
It was a challenging period of adjustment and self-discovery, but it taught me resilience, independence, and patience. Through that journey, I was able to establish my dream career, run my own dance studio, stay actively involved in community and charity work, and continue growing in the performing arts.
Most importantly, I’m proud of how far I’ve come and of making my parents proud while also finding my own identity and purpose.

What would be your “dream job” in life?
My dream job would be a career that allows me to combine healthcare, leadership, public speaking, and humanitarian work. For me, fulfillment is not only about personal success, but also about creating meaningful impact in people’s lives.
Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was raised in a hardworking South Asian household where education, resilience, and family values were strongly emphasized. Growing up, I was involved in dance, community activities, and academics, while learning independence and responsibility from a young age.
One of my biggest inspirations has been my mother, who worked as a nurse and midwife supporting women’s health, maternal care, and child development in remote communities of Nepal. Even though we lived in the city, she chose a career that often took her far into rural areas to help marginalized communities. As a child, I sometimes missed her presence, but as I grew older, I began to understand the impact of the work she was doing and the difference she was making in people’s lives.
Witnessing her compassion, dedication, and fulfillment inspired me deeply and became one of the main reasons I chose a path in healthcare and community service as well.
