On behalf of Beauties of Canada and the Miss Universe Canada Organization, we would like to thank everyone involved in Chelsae’s ‘Dream Team’ for helping in getting her ready to go to Miss Universe 2011. It takes a lot of work and we couldn’t have done it without their help and support. Leaded by Denis Davila, National Director of Miss Universe Canada, the 2011 Miss Universe Canada ‘Dream Team’ are a number of individuals that have worked endless hours to make sure Chelsae looks and feels her best in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

Since her involvement in the Miss Universe Canada Regional Preliminary Competition in Toronto in December 2010, Fashion Stylist and National Costume Designer Rommel Manlangit was in charge of runway skills and fashion styling. Production Manager Fabricio Loza-Alvarado was instrumental in working with Chelsae on Stage Presence. Chelsae has proven to be an excellent runway and print model and with Rommel’s and Fabricio’s help, she is ready to show it in the Miss Universe Stage.

Katty Pulido International from Venezuela and her talented team were in charge of working with Chelsae on her make-up and hair styling prior to her trip to Sao Paolo. Bailey Cole of Windsor, Ontario worked with us the last week of her training to make sure we achieved the best look for Chelsae.

While in Miami – Florida, Chelsae posed for talented photographers such as Claudio Lovo and his assistant Joe F. Cardenas at the Four Seasons Hotel Miami. She also had the priviledge to work with Enrique Martin, both of these photographers did an amazing job capturing Chelsae’s best angles for the cameras. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our friends in Miami for their unconditional support (Jacqueline Guerrero, Franco Blanco, Harold Acevedo, Andy Ferrer, Luis Alfonso Borrego, Marcio Telleria, Alex Quintero and Mario Bermudez).

The wardrobe Chelsae will be wearing has been designed by local and international designers. Rommel Manlangit designed the National costume called ‘An hommage to Haida: It’s People & Art’. Bolivian-American designed Rosita Hurtado was in charge of designing evening gowns and cocktail dresses for the competition and special activities; Dominican Designer Lourdes Libman designed evening gowns, cocktail dresses and one of kind sophisticated outfits to be worn during the competition period; Yohanna Gursey of New Jersey was in charge of making evening gowns and cocktail dresses for formal occasions. Puerto Rican designer Edwin Rosario and Franco Angilieri (Windsor, Ontario) were in charge of cocktail dresses and casual outfits. Each and every design was made taking into account Chelsae’s beauty and the occasion she needs to dress for.

Richard Gravelle was Chelsae’s personal trainer and worked with her at Lifestyle Fitness on a program to make sure Chelsae’s body is at its optimums condition for the competition.

Special thanks go to Chelsae’s family and friends in Windsor Ontario for all their support, especially to ‘On the Dar Side’ – tanning salon, Tecumseh Laser Centre and most important Claudia Polewski (Chelsae’s mum and her boss at work) for everything she has done to make this happen.

Good luck Chelsae, we are proud of you!
