Through the years a great number of physicians, surgeons and huge number of volunteers have been trying to help newborns with Cleft lip and palate. The incidence occurs as many as 1 in every 700 babies that are born and most of them struggle with variety of problems, some deadly to these infants.
The late Dr. Mehdi Sherkat was one of the greatest surgeons of his time to help families in this battle.
